Queen Creek Engagement Photographer {Katie+Chad}

"We like to dance," she said. 

Laughing the whole time, he spun her around and bent her into a low dip. The sun was perfectly peeking through the trees, its last debut before leaving our view. He brought her up and spun her again before bringing her into his arms. He bent in to give her a light peck on the lips.

And as I stood there snapping photos to capture every perfect, beautiful, blissful moment all I could think was:

"Holy crap there's a bug biting me."

And while I may have had several bug bites later that night the size of dimes (something my husband will attest that, for once, I'm not exaggerating) I couldn't have looked away or stopped snapping pictures for a second. This fun loving couple who loves sports and dancing, I couldn't help but be drawn to them and think to myself that these were the kind of people I want to be like. We did this beautiful engagement session in a grove of trees in Queen creek, and this sunset session just oozed love and affection. While I always love doing engagement sessions, this one seemed extra perfect. Sunset, a beautiful couple, bugs eating away at me, I wouldn't have changed anything about it. Both of them school are teachers, and I can only imagine all the young students starting their first day of school probably expecting this, and instead getting this bombshell as their teacher.

Good luck concentrating on math this year, boys.

It started off simple enough. I nervously stood at the counter cutting strawberries for the dessert I had cooling at the table. As I methodically first halved then quartered each berry I couldn't help but think to myself, "Do people from Bangladesh even like strawberries??"

While I had heard of Arefeen many, many times, it was the first time I was meeting my husband's friend from school and I was a little nervous. He was bringing along his wife/fiance to discuss the wedding they were going to have in three days. You see, they were married in Bangladesh two years ago and were now planning on having a traditional, American wedding. Making this the second wedding I've shot of an already married couple.

Not only was I lucky enough to photograph their courtroom ceremony, but I also did her hair AND make-up! I mean, with a face like hers I really couldn't screw things up, but it was still a bit nerve wracking. And by nerve wracking I mean exciting. But also nerve wracking. In an exciting way. Does that make sense?

This lovely couple was married on May the Fourth. Except to me it was just May 4th and the Star Wars poster in the front lobby was just a token of what hard core Star Wars fans they were. It wasn't until the next day when I was perusing Facebook that I saw everybody wishing everyone else "May the Fourth be with you." How this holiday has eluded me, I don't know, but now whenever I hear the phrase I will absolutely be thinking of Karen & Lloyd.
