One of the hardest parts about moving from the beautiful Central Coast of California to the desert was the thought that I might not ever see green again. I was pleasantly surprised that yes, there is grass, and yes, there are crazy monsoons in August that keep it green.
I also learned that in those green fields there may or may not be snakes. Live and learn.
